About connecting to a Wi-Fi network on BlackBerry

8. Click Next.
9. In the "Wi-Fi Setup Complete", do one of the following:

About Wi-Fi profiles on BlackBerry

Name: Enter the profile name Wi-Fi®.
SSID: Enter the network name of the Wi-Fi.
Protocol Type: Select the type of network Wi-Fi. If you do not know the network type, do not change this value. Connection Mode (Automatic): Set whether BlackBerry® device to automatically connect to an available network Wi-Fi.
Connection Mode (Manual): Set whether the device should notify you every time the presence of Wi-Fi network available.
Allow changing access points Select whether to leave the connection to the Wi-Fi network after the transition from one access point to another.
VPN: If necessary, select a VPN profile to use with the profile of Wi-Fi.
If you are unable to connect to a Wi-Fi network on BlackBerry
Try the following.
• Make sure the connection to the Wi-Fi network is turned on.
• Ensure that the device is network coverage Wi-Fi.
• If the Wi-Fi network does not appear in the application settings Wi-Fi and you know the network name, connect to the Wi-Fi network manually.
• Verify that the connection options in the Wi-Fi setup application are correct. If these settings have already been confirmed, verify that the advanced connection options for the Wi-Fi network are correct.
• If you switched Wi-Fi networks manually, switch to another Wi-Fi network, or refresh the list of available Wi-Fi networks on BlackBerry device.
• If your wireless service provider supports UMA, verify that your connection preference is not to have been set only on the mobile network.
• If your device is associated with an email account that uses BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, your organization might prevent your browser opening access point or prohibit the use of browser access point for browsing the web.
• When using the Push Button Setup method, make sure that the network access point is equipped with a system of Wi-Fi Protected Setup ™, and is configured to send the profile. Make sure that no other device is attempting to connect to the network at the same time and that is in range of no more than one access point in this mode.
• If you use PEAP, EAP-TLS, EAP-FAST, EAP-TTLS or EAP-SIM to connect to a Wi-Fi network, ensure that the root certificate for the certificate authority server that created the certificate for the authentication server.
• If you connect to the Wi-Fi network uses EAP-TLS, make sure the device is added to the authentication certificate.
