BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition differs from the classical Black Passport not only in appearance, but also the construction and disassembly process.

Start with the top of the housing — remove it by pulling by finger.

Under the top cover — information on BlackBerry Passport Silver device and screws.

Remove the three screws T5.

With the help of plastic opener disconnect dismount the back cover. First, starting from the top..

..And then at the bottom. Note here the cover is fixed with adhesive.

Under the BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition back cover is all the "stuff".

Remove the protective film from the battery by your hands.

Unscrew the Silver's motherboard. Remove one screw to the left of battery and 6 of T5 screws more.

At speakers part — five of T5 screws.

Untouch the connectors: 1 / Screen Connector.

2/ Battery Connector.

3/ Bezel Connector.

Remove BlackBerry Passport Silver speakers part with the Pry tool.

4/ Keyboard Connector.

Now remove the motherboard. Be careful!

On the motherboard, you can detach the rear camera.

To remove BlackBerry Passport Silver's battery, pull on the yellow stickers, and you remove the glue that holds it.

That is the battery. The same as in the "normal" BlackBerry Passport.

Use a T5 screwdriver to remove the audio jack.

BlackBerry Passport Silver has, in addition to the audio jack, a decorative ring, like the P'9983 device.

Using a small Phillips screwdriver, remove the vibration motor.

Voice speaker (or more precisely, its unit with surround microphone) is held by PH screws.

Removing the bezel — three T5 screws to the right.

Remove the metal sticker from BlackBerry Passport Silver's keyboard.

Then unscrew the keyboard itself — this would require a T2 screwdriver.

Remove metal stickers from the bottom part of the keyboard.

To remove the keyboard itself (it is assembled with the front panel of the smartphone), use plastic Pry tool.

When the keypad is undocked from the bezel, it can be removed.

Before removing the screen from bezel, it is important to detach the power button contacts.

Now press down on the screen, and you'll remove it from the BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition bezel. Be careful and cautious, screen is glued to the bezel at the top.

The Silver Edition's screen differs from the classic BlackBerry Passport by its construction.
